Let’s do the Color!

Hey! You know that I’ve been doing this thing since while ago?
And yup. I spent my sembreak doing this again. Such an addictive, changing Grayscale into RGB!

I wasn’t thinking about making a tutorial for this because I’m completely nothing compare to those photoshop goddess out there.
And suddenly I’ve got a vision of a person stumbled into my blog, hoping to colorized her photo but found nothing.

Here I am, changing my mind.

Black and White to Color Photoshop Tutorial!

Okay, let me warn you first.
I’m only taking Photoshop class for a month, and yup I’m certified. But doesn’t mean all I do is on right path. hahaha.

1. Open the file. I found it onweheartit.com. Make sure it’s on RGB instead on Grayscale.

2. Edit it in Quick Mask Mode. For a shortcut, just press ‘Q’ on your keyboard.
Now, let’s do the selection. We’ll using a Soft-round brush one to make a softer selection.
I’ll start with the hair.
The brush will color red, nothing to worry about.

3. Exit Quick Mask Mode by press ‘Q’, again. There’s a dash–indication of selection.
The selection is depends on your computer setting.
Since we are about to change hair color, I’ll select it inverse before jump to the next step.3

4. This is the most interesting part. Go to Image > Adjustment > Color Balance.
Now, use our creativity to color it. I color it with my personal taste. :p4

5. There you go, pretty gold hair ;D
